The selection process for the Bachelor of Arts at Christ University’s Bannerghatta Road Campus has two stages:

1. Entrance Exam: All candidates applying for the Bachelor of Arts program must appear for an entrance exam conducted by the university. The entrance exam will consist of multiple choice questions from General Knowledge, English, Reasoning, and Data Analysis. The duration of the exam will be 120 minutes and it will carry 120 marks.

2. Personal Interview (PI): Candidates who qualify the entrance exam will be shortlisted for a personal interview. The PI will assess the candidate’s academic background, extracurricular activities, communication skills, and general awareness. It will carry 50 marks.

Final selection for the program will be based on the cumulative performance in the entrance exam and personal interview. The weightage for the two components will be 60% and 40% respectively.

Note:

1. Candidates who have qualified the National level entrance exams like CLAT, LSAT, JET, and AILET are exempted from appearing in the university’s entrance exam. They will be directly called for the personal interview round.

2. Candidates who have completed the Cambridge A level or International Baccalaureate (IB) exam with a minimum of 5 subjects will be exempted from the first selection process (entrance exam) and will be directly called for the personal interview.

3. The final selection list will be declared on the basis of a composite score which will be calculated by giving a 60% weightage to the university’s entrance exam and 40% weightage to the personal interview.

4. The academic performance of the candidate in the qualifying exam (10+2 or equivalent) will also be considered during the final selection.

5. There will be a separate entrance exam for candidates applying for the Honours and Honours with Research programs.

6. There will be a separate merit list for the reserved category candidates (SC/ST/OBC).

7. Conditional admission may be granted to candidates who have appeared for their qualifying exam and are awaiting the results. However, the final admission will be subject to the fulfillment of eligibility criteria and submission of final marksheets.

8. The university reserves the right to change any aspect of the selection process at any time without prior notice.
