MAEER’S Maharashtra Institute of Technology (MIT) is a leading private institute of engineering located in Pune. The college was established in 1983 and affiliated to the University of Pune and recognized by the Government of Maharashtra. MIT Pune B.Tech Eligibility Criteria

Candidate should be an Indian National and should have passed the HSC (Std.XII) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with subjects English, Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/Biotechnology /Biology/ Technical Vocational subject and secured minimum 50% marks (minimum 45%marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only). Also, the candidate should have obtained rank in the JEE exam.

Those candidates, who are from Maharashtra State as well as from outside Maharashtra State and wishing to take B.Tech admission under Management Quota, should have All India Rank in JEE (Main). However, they are required to apply separately to the management of the college for the seats.

MIT Pune B.Tech Application Process

Aspiring candidates for B.Tech at MIT Pune have to appear for the MHT-CET or JEE-Mains in order to get admission in the college. Firstly the candidate needs to register by clicking the ‘Apply online’ button on the official website of DTE and fill all the required details carefully. After that click on the register button then a confirmation message will appear. Then, go back to the home page and login with given credentials and complete the application form and upload the required documents and photos. After that, make a payment online via debit card, credit card, net banking or challan in which take the print of challan and pay fees in the bank. Don’t forget to take a print out of the payment receipt and note down the application number for future reference.

Once the entrance exam is done, shortlisted candidates (only JEE-Mains appeared) have to register themselves with the DTE website for counselling. Candidates who have appeared for MHT-CET need not register separately for counselling, whereas JEE-Mains appeared candidates are required to register.

Maharashtra Institute of Technology Facilities

Maharashtra Institute of Technology (MIT) has the facilities of hostels, canteen, library, sports and medical services. The banking and ATM facilities are provided at the campus which facilitates the students to carry out important banking interactions like cash withdrawal or cheque deposits.

Hostel: MIT has hostel facilities for boys and girls on its campus. It is provided with uninterrupted water supply, reading hall, round the clock security, internet connection, indoor recreation, television etc. A Doctor visits the hostel, twice a week to conduct medical check-up.

Canteen: It provides a wide variety of delicacies to cater to the tastes of each individual. The college Mess is spacious with a dining hall and kitchen. Apart from north and south Indian nutritious break-fast, lunch and dinner, the canteen also serves appetizing Chinese food. Tea, coffee and soft drinks along with snacks are also available. All the items are reasonably priced. 

Library: MIT has got a Central Library together with various departmental libraries. It has computerized all its housekeeping activities using Library software that is being maintained and updated regularly. It is connected to the campus-wide network. This enables users in searching and availing the library resources.

Sports: The college has its own cricket, football, volleyball grounds and twin basketball courts with floodlights. Table Tennis, Carrom, and Wrestling facilities are also provided. 

Bank & ATM  facilities: The Sangli Bank Ltd.’ and a branch of the ‘Bank of India’ is available with an ATM centre at the college premises itself with all the necessary facilities. This further facilitates the students to carry out important banking interactions like cash withdrawal or cheque deposits. ‘Western Union Money Transfer’ service – the fastest way to receive money from abroad is also available in the on-campus banks.

Gymnasium:  It also has 1500 sq. ft. well-equipped gymnasium. 

Medical Services: MIT has fully equipped dispensaries with doctors. Regular medical check-ups are organised and campaigns are held free of charge for all the students and faculty members during every academic year.

Meditation Centre: MIT has Meditation Temple which is set in the most appropriate and natural surroundings.
