Selection Process for Admission in Mount Carmel College Post — Graduate M.Com — Regular 2024.
1. Submitting the Application Form: The first step in the admission process is to submit the application form for the M.Com program at Mount Carmel College (MCC). The application form is available online and can be filled up by providing personal and academic details.
2. Qualification Requirements: To be eligible for the M.Com program at MCC, applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce/Management with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
3. Entrance Exam: MCC conducts its own entrance exam for the M.Com program, which includes sections on General English, Reasoning, and Quantitative Ability. The exam is of 2 hours duration and is conducted online.
4. Shortlisting for Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GDPI): Based on the performance in the entrance exam, candidates will be shortlisted for the next round of selection — Group Discussion and Personal Interview. The shortlisted candidates will be intimated via email and the list will also be available on the MCC website.
5. Group Discussion (GD): In the GD round, candidates will be divided into groups and a discussion will be conducted on a given topic. The purpose of the GD is to assess the candidate’s communication skills, leadership qualities, and ability to work in a team.
6. Personal Interview (PI): The final round of selection is the Personal Interview, where the candidate’s overall personality, academic background, extra-curricular activities, and career aspirations will be evaluated by a panel of interviewers.
7. Final Selection: Based on the performance in the entrance exam, GD, and PI, the final list of selected candidates will be announced.
8. Admission and Fee Payment: Selected candidates will be required to complete the admission formalities and pay the course fees within the given timeline to secure their seats.
