Christ University offers various Bachelor of Arts (BA) programs such as Liberal Arts, Honours, and Honours with Research. Admission to these programs is highly competitive and based on merit. However, for those students who do not meet the required academic criteria, the university also offers admission under management quota or NRI quota.
To secure admission through management/NRI quota, the applicant needs to follow the following process:
1. Application form: Firstly, the candidate needs to obtain the application form from the Office of Admissions, Christ University, Bangalore, or can also be downloaded from the university website.
2. Eligibility criteria: The eligibility criteria for BA programs are as follows:
– The candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination in any stream from a recognized board.
– The candidate should have scored a minimum of 55% marks in the qualifying examination.
3. Submission of application: The duly filled application form should be submitted along with the required documents and the demand draft of the application fee. The application fee for Indian students is Rs. 5000 and for NRI/SAARC/OCI/PIO/Foreign nationals is Rs. 10,000.
4. Selection process: The candidate will be selected based on their performance in the Entrance Test, Micro Presentation, Personal Interview, and past academic records.
5. Entrance Test: The Entrance Test will be based on English Language, Comprehension Skills, Verbal Reasoning, General Knowledge, and Current Affairs.
6. Micro Presentation: The shortlisted candidates will have to do a Micro Presentation, which will be for 90 seconds on a given topic.
7. Personal Interview: After the Micro Presentation, the candidate will have to appear for a Personal Interview in front of a panel of experts. The interview will assess the candidate’s academic performance, extracurricular activities, general awareness, and communication skills.
8. Payment of fees: If the candidate is selected, they will have to pay the fee within the given timeframe to confirm their admission.
The above process is the general procedure for admission through management quota. However, the specific process may vary for each campus (Bangalore Bannerghatta Road Campus and Kengeri Campus). It is advisable to contact the Office of Admissions at the respective campus for detailed information.
Note: Management quota seats are limited and are subject to availability. Also, admission under management quota comes with a higher fee structure compared to the regular admission process.
