The School of Law, Christ University, invites applications from prospective candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria prescribed for the admission to the BA LLB (Honours) Degree Course. The BA LLB (Honours) Degree is a five-year integrated course leading to the final degree in Law with Honours. Christ University was the first law college in the state of Karnataka to offer honours in BA LLB(Int). The academicians, practitioners of law and those working with the unconventional legal issues guide the students.

Mission
• The School of Law, Christ University established in 2006 believes in building a just and humane society, which is based on values like justice, equality, integrity and respect for human rights. Our mission is to provide legal education which generates social relevance, fosters critical thinking, and strives to create a just society.
OBJECTIVES
• To initiate national and international legal awareness programmes through students, faculties and other statutory bodies.
• To provide quality legal education to enrich the academic environment of budding lawyers in the country through regular international guest-lectures, moot court competitions etc.
• To contribute in the enhancement and development of legal education, research and its effective linkage to the community.
• To promote and expand C.U.R.I.E. (the Christ University Research Initiative and Endeavours) to support research and development activities.
• To provide for internet based self-access learning avenues for students.
• To establish a unique central library with innovative technological resources enabling access to mainstream law journals, commentaries and books written by eminent authors.
• To ensure that percentage of placement would increase to a larger extent in the coming years.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
The minimum eligibility for admission to the programme is a pass at the +2 level (Karnataka PUC / ISC / CBSE / NIOS / State Boards) in any stream (Humanities, Social Sciences, Commerce & Management, Sciences) from any recognized Board in India only or abroad. Candidates writing the +2 examinations in March-May 2020 may apply with their class X and XI marks.
Candidates pursuing an International curriculum must note that eligibility is according to AIU stipulations:
1. Applicants pursuing IB curriculum must have 3 HL and 3 SL with 24 credits.
2. Applicants pursuing GCE / Edexcel must have a minimum of 3 A levels and 3 AS level with no scores below C.
• Applicants seeking admission through International curriculum are required to have AIU approval and a first class or 60% marks in the qualifying examination / STPM / GCE / ‘A’ project (minimum grade) or its equivalent in any disciplineCandidates pursuing the Indian curriculum must note:
The applicants applying for the examination should have cleared XII / 10+2 / PUC / equivalent with an aggregate of 45 % or equivalent grade of any Board in India.
Students appearing for their final examinations in March / April from any recognized Board in India.
Students, who are citizens of India, but either part or wholly educated in a foreign country will have to produce a certificate from the AIU for equivalence of their qualification.
The eligibility fulfillment will be verified only during the personal interview / micro presentation stage vis-à-vis the application. Therefore, in the event of any conflict between the information in the application form / micro presentation / interview and original certificates / statements / mark sheets, the same will be resolved using the original application form / micro presentation / interview before finalizing the selection.
