Department of English
The Bachelor of Arts in English is a unique program offered by the Department of English at Christ University that fosters an appreciation for literature, language, and culture through a variety of courses and activities. It seeks to develop critical thinking, communication skills, and creativity in students while providing them with a strong foundation in the English language and literature.
The Department also offers a specialized Honours program in English and Honours with Research program in collaboration with the Department of Research. These programs offer students an opportunity to conduct original research in a chosen area of interest.
Eligibility Criteria for Admission through Management Quota
– Candidates should have passed PUC/10+2 examination with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks (55% for SC/ST/OBC candidates)
– Candidates should have studied English as a compulsory subject in their previous qualifying examination
– Candidates should have a valid score in the Christ University Entrance Test (CUET) or UGET (Undergraduate Entrance Test) conducted by the university
– Candidates who do not have a valid score in CUET/UGET must appear for a personal interview conducted by the university
Admission Process
