The Department of Business Management introduced Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) — Aviation & Tourism Management program in the academic year 2008 to meet the needs of the aviation and tourism industries. The program aims to impart knowledge, skills and attitude to students to face the challenges in the domain areas of airport and airline management, airline marketing and ticketing, tour operations management, travel agency operations, air cargo management etc
The program also provides students with an understanding of the global aviation and tourism industry, its evolution, structure and current and future trends. It equips students with the required communication, managerial and marketing skills and a deep understanding of the aviation and tourism industry.
The curriculum is designed to provide students with an all-round development and prepare them for a career in aviation and tourism sector. The program includes foundation courses that help students to understand the basics of business management and its application in the aviation and tourism industry.
The students undergo practical training in the form of industrial visits, projects, internships and classroom exercises to help them to understand the practical aspects of managing aviation and tourism businesses. The students also have access to modern teaching methods that include case studies, simulations, role plays, group discussions, presentations and lectures from industry experts. They also have opportunities to participate in national and international events and conferences that provide exposure to the global aviation and tourism industry.
On completion of the program, students are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to pursue careers in various domains of the aviation and tourism industry like airport management, airline management, air cargo operations, travel writing, tour operations, business development, aviation safety and security, government agencies, airlines, airports, travel agencies, tourism boards, event management companies, tour operators, hotel industry etc.
Eligibility:
The candidate should have passed the Pre-University/ Higher Secondary/ 10+2/ ‘A’ Level or an equivalent examination from any recognized Board/ University with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST/OBC).
The candidate should have studied Mathematics / Commerce/Computer Science/Statistics/ Business Studies/Economics/Financial Accounting/ Computer Applications as one of the compulsory subjects.
The admissions are done on the basis of merit as well as on the basis of performance in an aptitude test, group discussion and personal interview.

Mount Carmel College (MCC) is a premier educational institution for women in India. It was established in 1948 and is affiliated to Bangalore University.
