This is a full-time research-based program and the duration of the course may vary from 3 to 5 years, depending on the candidate’s research progress. Admission to this program is based on the candidate’s performance in the entrance exam, followed by an interview.
Eligibility Criteria:
- The candidate must have a Master’s degree in Physics or a closely related field from a recognized university with a minimum of 55% marks.
- For candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC category, a minimum of 50% marks is required.
- The candidate must have a valid score in UGC-NET (including JRF)/UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF)/SLET/ GATE or equivalent qualifying examination in Physics.
- Candidates with a M.Phil. degree are also eligible for direct admission in PhD in Physics program.
Application Process:
- The interested candidates can apply through the online application form available on the university website.
- The application fee for the PhD program is Rs. 2000/- for General candidates and Rs. 1500/- for SC/ST/OBC candidates.

Selection Process:
- Candidates will be shortlisted for the entrance exam based on their academic qualifications and performance in the qualifying examination.
