Selection Procedure for Christ University Bachelor of Commerce (Applied Finance and Analytics/Honours/Honours with Research)

Admission to the Bachelor of Commerce programs at Christ University is done through a two-step selection process. The first step is a computer-based entrance test followed by a personal interview and Micro Presentation (MP).

Step 1: Computer-based Entrance Test

Candidates will be required to appear for an Entrance Test which will be conducted in various test centers across the country. The test will be conducted for a total of 120 minutes and will consist of 120 multiple choice questions (MCQs).

The distribution of questions for the different sections are as follows:
1. English Language, Comprehension Skills, Verbal Reasoning and Verbal Ability — 30 questions
2. Numerical Ability, Fundamental Math Skills and Data Analysis — 25 questions
3. Reasoning: Critical, Analytical and Logical- 20 questions
4. General Knowledge, Current Affairs — 25 questions
5. Current Affairs — 10 questions
6. Data Analysis and Interpretation — 10 questions

Candidates should note that there will be a negative marking of 0.25 for each wrong answer.

Step 2: Personal Interview and Micro Presentation

Based on the performance in the entrance test, candidates will be shortlisted for a personal interview and micro presentation round. The Personal Interview and Micro Presentation will carry a weightage of 20 marks each.

The Personal Interview will assess a candidate’s attitude, communication skills, leadership qualities, and general awareness. The Micro Presentation will provide candidates with an opportunity to express their ideas on a given topic for 90 seconds.

Final Selection

The final selection of candidates will be based on the overall performance in the entrance test, personal interview, and micro presentation. Candidates will be informed of their selection through email and the offer letter will be available on the University website.

Reservation Criteria

The following reservation criteria will be followed for admission:

Category I: Candidates of Karnataka Origin — 15% of the seats will be reserved for candidates belonging to Karnataka State.

Category II: NRI Candidates — 25% of the seats will be reserved for NRI candidates.

Category III: Indian/Foreign Nationals with PIO/OCI status (Foreign Candidates) — 10% of the seats will be reserved for Foreign candidates.

Category IV: SC/ST candidates — 15% of the seats will be reserved for SC/ST candidates.

Category V: Physically Challenged, Differently Abled and Other candidates — 5% of the seats will be reserved for differently abled candidates.

Category VI: General category — Remaining seats will be filled based on merit.

Note: The reservation criteria is subject to change as per the regulations of the Government of India or Christ University. Candidates must produce relevant documents at the time of selection to avail reservation benefits under any category.
