The selection procedure for Christ University’s Bachelor of Commerce (Honours/Honours with Research) course at the Bangalore Central Campus is a two-step process.
Step 1: Application and Entrance Test
Candidates seeking admissions to the course must first fill in the online application form available on the Christ University website. The application fee must be paid online using Net Banking/ Credit Card/ Debit Card. Alternatively, candidates can also obtain the application form from the Office of Christ University in person or by post.
The eligible candidates will then have to appear for the University’s Entrance Test. The test will be of 120 minutes duration and will consist of multiple-choice questions from subjects like Accounting, Economics, Business Studies, and Mathematics. The test will be conducted in an offline mode i.e., pen and paper-based.
Based on the performance in the Entrance Test, a merit list will be prepared. Shortlisted candidates will be required to participate in the skill assessment round.
Step 2: Skill Assessment Round
The skill assessment round will test the candidates on their communication skills, logical reasoning, and basic quantitative aptitude. This round will also consist of a personal interview. The interview panel will assess the candidate’s academic background, communication skills, subject knowledge, and overall personality.
Final Selection
The final selection will be based on the candidate’s performance in the Entrance Test, skill assessment round, and academic performance in Class 12. The weightage for each component of the selection process is as follows:
– Entrance Test: 40%
– Skill Assessment Round: 40%
– Academic Performance in Class 12: 20%
The candidate’s overall score in the selection process will determine their rank on the merit list. The selected candidates will be notified through the University’s official website or through email. They will have to pay the required fees to confirm their admission within the given deadline.
