The selection process for admission in Mount Carmel College Bangalore B.A — Communication Studies is based on the following criteria:

1. Application Form and Eligibility: Applicants must first fill in the application form for admission to the B.A — Communication Studies course at Mount Carmel College. They must ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria for the course, which includes passing the 10+2 or equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.

2. Entrance Exam: All applicants are required to appear for an entrance exam conducted by the college. The entrance exam is designed to evaluate the aptitude, verbal and written communication skills, and general knowledge of the applicants. It is an objective type test with multiple-choice questions.

3. Group Discussion: Shortlisted candidates based on the entrance exam scores will be called for a group discussion round. The group discussion is an assessment of the applicant’s communication skills, problem-solving ability, and group dynamics.

4. Personal Interview: Can 2024didates who perform well in the group discussion will be invited for a personal interview with a panel of faculty members. The personal interview is an opportunity for the college to get to know the candidate better and assess their suitability for the course.

5. Merit List: Based on the performance in the entrance exam, group discussion, and personal interview, a merit list will be prepared by the college. Candidates who have secured a position in the merit list will be offered admission to the B.A — Communication Studies course.
