Selection Process for Christ University Bachelor of Architecture (BArch)
Bangalore Kengeri Campus
The selection process for the Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) program at Christ University’s Kengeri campus, Bangalore consists of two stages:
1. Christ University Entrance Test (CUET): All candidates aspiring to join the BArch program must appear for the CUET, which is conducted by the university. The test is a computer-based exam and assesses a candidate’s mathematical and analytical abilities, drawing skills, and architectural aptitude. The test has 90 questions and a duration of 2 hours.
2. Departmental Interview and Skill Assessment: Based on the performance in CUET, candidates will be shortlisted for the second stage of the selection process, which includes a departmental interview and skill assessment. The interview aims to assess a candidate’s interest, aptitude, and attitude towards architecture and design. The skill assessment will evaluate the candidate’s drawing, modeling, and spatial visualization skills.
Candidates must also submit a portfolio of their artwork, sketches, and design projects during the interview process to showcase their creativity and design abilities.
Final Selection:
The final selection of candidates will be based on their performance in all the above stages, including CUET, departmental interview, skill assessment, and portfolio evaluation. The university will consider the candidate’s academic merit, performance in the selection process, and availability of seats while making the final selection.
Important Note:
Candidates who have appeared for the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) with a minimum score of 80 out of 200 are exempted from appearing for the CUET. However, they must still attend the departmental interview and skill assessment. Such candidates must submit their NATA scorecard during the interview process.
