The selection process for Christ University’s Bachelor of Arts (Journalism and Digital Media, English/Honours/Honours with Research) program at the Bangalore Central Campus involves the following stages:
1. Application Form: The first step is to complete and submit the online application form on the official website of Christ University. Applicants must provide all the relevant information and upload required documents such as academic transcripts, passport size photograph, and signature.
2. Entrance Test: Candidates are required to appear for the Christ University Entrance Test (CUET) for admission to the program. The test consists of multiple-choice questions in the areas of English, General Knowledge, and Media Aptitude. The duration of the test is 120 minutes.
3. Skill Assessment: Shortlisted candidates based on the CUET scores will be called for a Skill Assessment which comprises Group Discussion and Micro Presentation. It aims to evaluate the speaking skills, analytical thinking, and communication skills of the candidates.
4. Personal Interview: Candidates who have cleared the Skill Assessment will be called for a Personal Interview round. The purpose of this round is to evaluate the candidate’s personality, attitude, and motivation towards the program.
5. Final Selection: Based on the performance of the candidates in the entrance test, skill assessment, and personal interview, the final list of selected candidates will be released on the official website of the university.
Note: Candidates applying for Honours with Research program will also have to appear for a Research Aptitude Test (RAT) during the Personal Interview round.
