Selection Process for Christ University Bachelor of Arts (Liberal Arts/Honours/Honours with Research)
Bangalore Bannerghatta Road Campus 2024.

The selection process for Christ University’s Bachelor of Arts (BA) programs is a two-step process, consisting of an Entrance Test and an Interview. This process is applicable for all BA programs offered at the Bangalore Bannerghatta Road campus, including Liberal Arts, Honours, and Honours with Research.

Step 1: Entrance Test
The Entrance Test for BA programs is conducted online and consists of objective type multiple-choice questions. The duration of the test is two hours. The test is designed to assess the candidate’s general knowledge, language proficiency, and reasoning abilities. There are no negative markings for wrong answers.

Step 2: Interview
Candidates who clear the Entrance Test are called for the Personal Interview round. The interview is conducted to assess the candidate’s interest and aptitude for the chosen BA program. The interview panel consists of faculty members and experts from the field of arts and humanities.

The final selection of candidates is based on their performance in both the Entrance Test and the Interview.

Note:
1. For BA Honours with Research program, candidates who have qualified for the Research Aptitude Test (PAT) conducted by the university will be exempted from the Entrance Test.

2. Candidates applying for BA programs with optional subjects like Psychology or Economics will be required to take an additional test during the Interview round to assess their knowledge in the respective subject.

3. Candidates who have a valid SAT/ACT score or a Grade Point equivalent to SAT/ACT will be exempted from the Entrance Test. They will only have to appear for the Interview round.

4. The final selection is also based on the overall academic performance of the candidate in Class 10 and 12. A weightage of 25% is given to the marks obtained in Class 10 and 75% to the marks obtained in Class 12.

5. There are a limited number of seats available for each BA program, and the decision of the university regarding admission is final.

6. The selected candidates will be intimated through email or post. They will be given a specific date and time to complete the admission process, which includes payment of fees and document verification.

7. If a candidate is unable to attend the Interview round due to unavoidable circumstances, they can reschedule it by informing the university in advance.

8. The selected candidates are required to produce all the original documents for verification at the time of admission. Failure to do so may result in the cancellation of admission.

9. It is mandatory for international students to submit their passport and student visa details at the time of admission.

10. The university reserves the right to make changes in the selection process as per its discretion. Any updates or changes in the process will be communicated on the university’s website.
