The selection process for Christ University Bachelor of Arts (Media and Journalism/Honours/Honours with Research) at the Bangalore Bannerghatta Road Campus consists of three stages:
1. Online Personal Interview:
Candidates who have successfully completed the application process and meet the eligibility criteria will be called for an online personal interview. The interview will be conducted on the online platform, and the candidates will be evaluated based on their communication skills, aptitude, and interest in the field of media and journalism.
2. Entrance Test:
Candidates who clear the online interview will be required to appear for the Christ University Entrance Test (CUET), which is a computer-based test. The test will assess the candidate’s general knowledge, reasoning abilities, media awareness, and writing skills.
3. Academic Performance:
The final selection of candidates will also take into consideration their academic performance in Class 10 and 12. The candidate must have passed Class 10 and 12 with a minimum aggregate score of 60%.
After all three stages of the selection process are completed, a final merit list will be prepared based on the candidate’s performance in the online interview, entrance test, and academic performance.
The selected candidates will receive an admission offer from the university, and they must confirm their acceptance by paying the prescribed admission fees within the given deadline.
Note:
For Honours with Research program, candidates will have to additionally appear for a Personal Interview for Research (PIR) after the CUET. The PIR is conducted to evaluate the candidate’s aptitude for research and their research proposal. The final selection will be based on the candidate’s performance in the PIR, online interview, entrance test, and academic performance.
