The selection process for the Christ University Bachelor of Arts (BA) program in Music (Western Classical) and Psychology/Honours involves three stages:
1. Online Application:
Candidates must first fill out an online application form available on the university’s official website. The form requires personal, academic, and contact details of the candidate.
2. Entrance Test:
Shortlisted candidates will be required to appear for an entrance test conducted by the university. The test will have two components — an Aptitude Test and a Skill Assessment Test. The Aptitude Test will assess the candidate’s general knowledge, logical reasoning, and English language skills. The Skill Assessment Test will assess the candidate’s knowledge and skills in music and psychology.
3. Personal Interview:
Candidates who clear the entrance test will be called for a personal interview with a panel of faculty members. The interview will assess the candidate’s interest in music and psychology, motivation, and communication skills.
Documents Required:
1. Class 10 and 12 mark sheets.
2. Entrance test admit card.
3. Transfer certificate from the previous institution.
4. Migration certificate (if applicable).
5. Character certificate from the previous institution.
6. Passport size photograph.
7. Any other relevant certificates or documents.
8. Signature of the candidate and parent/guardian.
Selection Criteria:
The selection of candidates will be based on their performance in the entrance test, personal interview, and the candidate’s academic record. The weightage given to each component is as follows:
1. Entrance Test — 60%
2. Personal Interview — 20%
3. Academic Record — 20%
Final Selection:
A merit list will be prepared based on the overall performance of the candidates in the entrance test and the personal interview. The university will declare the list of selected candidates on their official website. The selected candidates will be required to submit the necessary documents and pay the admission fee within the given time to secure their admission.
