The selection process for Christ University’s Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) program in Finance and Investment/Honours/Honours with Research at the Bangalore Central Campus typically includes four stages:

  1. Application Form:
The first step in the selection process is to fill out the application form, which is available both online and offline. The form requires personal and academic information, and students can choose their preferred B.Com course and campus. There is a non-refundable application fee that must be paid.
  2. Entrance Exam:
After submitting the application form, students are required to appear for the Christ University Entrance Test or CUEE. This is a 120-minute test that evaluates students’ basic aptitude in quantitative, verbal, and logical reasoning. The exam is usually conducted in April, but this may vary from year to year.
  3. Micro Presentation and Personal Interview:
Successful candidates in the entrance exam are shortlisted for the next stage, which consists of a Micro Presentation (MP) and a Personal Interview (PI). Candidates will be notified of their date and time slot for this stage. The MP is a 90-second presentation on a given topic, and the PI evaluates the candidate’s communication skills, general knowledge, and academic background. It is recommended that candidates come prepared with their achievements, hobbies, and extracurricular activities to highlight during the PI.
  4. Final Selection:
Based on the candidate’s performance in the entrance exam, MP, and PI, the final selection list is prepared. The candidate’s academic performance and preference for the course and campus are also considered during the final selection. Students who are offered admission must pay the admission fee within the given time frame to confirm their seat.

Note:

  • Candidates who have taken the National-level entrance exams such as CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT are exempt from appearing for the CUEE. However, they must still fill out the application form and participate in the MP and PI stages.
  • There are different eligibility criteria for students from different boards of education, such as CBSE/ISC/State Boards/NIOS/IB/Cambridge.
  • The selection process for the Honours with Research program also includes a research proposal and a separate interview with the research guide.
  • There is a separate selection process for NRI and International students.
