The selection process for Christ University Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) program with specialization in International Finance, Honours, and Honours with Research at the Bangalore Central Campus is a three-stage process. The detailed selection process is as follows:
Stage 1: Online Application
The first stage of the selection process is the online application. Interested candidates have to visit the official website of Christ University and fill in the online application form. The form requires personal, educational, and contact details, along with the choice of program and the preferred selection process and test center.
The application fee of INR 5000 (for Indian nationals) and USD 250 (for NRI and SAARC candidates) can be paid online through credit/debit card or net banking.
Stage 2: Entrance Test
After the submission of the online application, candidates have to appear for the Christ University Entrance Test (CUET). This 120-minute, computer-based test comprises of 120 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) covering English, General Knowledge, Quantitative Aptitude, and Logical Reasoning.
Candidates can choose to take the test either through online mode (from home) or at a designated test center. The test fee for Indian nationals is INR 1500 and USD 100 for NRI and SAARC candidates.
Stage 3: Skill Assessment, Micro Presentation, and Personal Interview
Based on their performance in the entrance test, candidates will be shortlisted for the skill assessment, micro presentation, and personal interview. This stage is conducted at the Bangalore Central Campus and would take approximately half a day.
Skill Assessment: In this stage, candidates will be evaluated on their written communication and critical thinking skills.
Micro Presentation: Candidates will be given a topic to talk about for 90 seconds, which will be followed by a discussion with the panel.
Personal Interview: The final stage of the selection process is the personal interview, where candidates will be assessed on their academic performance, general awareness, and overall personality.
Final Selection
The final selection will be based on the candidate’s performance in all three stages of the selection process, i.e., entrance test, skill assessment, micro presentation, and personal interview. The weightage of each stage in the final selection is as follows:
Entrance Test: 60%
Skill Assessment: 20%
Micro Presentation: 10%
Personal Interview: 10%
Upon receiving the offer of admission, candidates have to pay the admission fee and confirm their admission within the given timeline to secure their seat in the program.
Note: The selection process may vary for candidates applying through the NRI/Sponsored category. They have to appear for a separate assessment conducted by the university.
