The selection process for Christ University’s Bachelor of Science (Economics, Mathematics, Statistics/Econometrics Honours/Honours with Research) program at Bangalore Central Campus takes into consideration the academic performance of the candidate, performance in the entrance exam, and a personal interview.
Step 1: Online Application
Candidates must first fill out an online application form available on the Christ University official website. The application fee must be paid online.
Step 2: Entrance Exam
Candidates must appear for an entrance exam conducted by Christ University. The exam tests the candidate’s aptitude, logical reasoning, and verbal ability. The date and venue for the exam will be mentioned in the admit card which can be downloaded from the university website.
Step 3: Personal Interview
Shortlisted candidates based on their performance in the entrance exam will be called for a personal interview. The call letter for the interview will be sent to the candidate’s registered email ID. The interview will test the candidate’s personal attributes, communication skills, and subject knowledge.
Step 4: Selection
Based on the candidate’s performance in the entrance exam and personal interview, the final selection will be made. The merit list will be uploaded on the university website.
Step 5: Admission
Selected candidates must pay the requisite admission fee and submit all necessary documents for verification. The final admission will be granted on the basis of merit, availability of seats, and fulfillment of all eligibility criteria.
Important Note:
1. A weightage of 60% will be given to the 10+2 marks and 40% to the entrance exam and personal interview scores.
2. Candidates with a higher academic performance in Class 10 and 12 will be given additional weightage during the final selection.
3. Candidates who have cleared any national level entrance exam (i.e JEE, NEET, etc) can submit their scores and will be exempted from appearing in the entrance exam conducted by Christ University. However, they must appear for the personal interview.
