 (1) This two-year program is aimed at students with an undergraduate degree in any discipline, and equips them with the specialized skills and knowledge needed for a career in economics, mathematics, and statistics or econometrics. It is an intensive program with a strong focus on research and analytical skills. The curriculum includes courses in microeconomics, macroeconomics, mathematics, statistics, econometrics, and data analysis. Students also have the opportunity to undertake a research project in their final semester.

Eligibility: Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university in any discipline with a minimum score of 50% in aggregate.

Admission Process: Admissions are based on a two-step process — an entrance test and an interview. The entrance test, Christ University Entrance Test (CUET), is conducted by the university and consists of multiple-choice questions to test the candidate’s quantitative, analytical, and verbal abilities. Shortlisted candidates will then be called for an interview and final selection will be based on the combined performance in both the entrance test and the interview.

Fees: The total fees for the two-year program is approximately Rs. 4,50,000.

(2) In addition to the Bangalore Central Campus, Christ University also has a campus in ITPL, Bangalore which offers an integrated Bachelor of Science (Economics, Mathematics, Statistics/Econometrics Honours/Honours with Research) program. The first three years of the program are the same as the one offered at the Bangalore Central Campus, while the final year is exclusively dedicated to research.

Eligibility: Candidates must have completed their 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board with a minimum score of 60% in aggregate in science stream (with mathematics as one of the subjects).

Admission Process: Admissions are based on an entrance test conducted by the university, followed by an interview. The entrance test consists of multiple-choice questions to test the candidate’s quantitative, analytical, and verbal abilities. Shortlisted candidates will then be called for an interview and final selection will be based on the combined performance in both the entrance test and the interview.
